Sonochemical versus hydrothermal synthesis of Cu-Fe-LDH@C3N4 nanohybrid: sorption and sono-sorption study

چکیده مقاله:
In this study, Cu-Fe layered doubled hydroxide/‌graphitic carbon nitride (Cu-Fe LDH@C3N4) were synthesized for the first time by ultrasonic bath method (us-bath type) and also hydrothermal method (hyd type) employed to degrade Alizarin yellow (AZ). The prepared nanohybrid were characterized by XRD, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), Brunauer Emmett teller (BET) and ultraviolet visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-visible). Under the conditions of CuFe-LDH (3:1) dosage 0.02 g/L, 20 mg/L AZ. The sorption of AZ from waste water was examined kinetically in the presence of ultrasound (sono-sorption) and in its absence (conventional method). It provided a decolorization percentage using us-bath type and sono-sorption can achieve 90% efficiency and absence to 57% ; using hyd type absence can Achieve to 60% efficiency after 30 minutes. As a result, the g-C3N4/CuFe LDH showed greater photocatalytic activity compared with pure samples of g-C3N4 and CuFe-LDH samples in degradation performance.
