In this work, Nickel doped DESICA P120 Zeolite carbon paste electrode (Ni/DP Zeolite CPE) was employed as a simple and efficient sensor for the detection of uric acid. The investigations of the electrochemical behavior of uric acid oxidation at the surface of Ni/DP-CPE were carried out by means of electrochemical techniques such as cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry methods in buffer solution pH=6. Furthermore, voltammetric studies showed that the fabricated electrode as the sensing element has a detection limit of 1.6 μM allowing the quantitative analysis of uric acid in the concentration range from uric acid 4.1–120 µM. Remarkable advantages of the prepared modified electrode such as low detection limit, fast response time, the wide linear range of concentration and high sensitivity make it a good sensor for the selective determination of uric acid.
