Highly efficient and magnetically recyclable G-Pd catalyst for Suzuki cross-coupling reactions

In this work examines palladium nanoparticles immobilized on the magnetic graphene oxide surface as an efficient and recyclable catalyst for Suzuki reaction. Graphene oxide can be used as an expandable support for loading Pd nanocatalysts to prevent the agglomeration of nanoparticles. This nanocomposite with a high surface area can be available in a small Pd catalyst nanoparticle. This catalysts exhibit considerable activity due to the high dispersion of Pd nanoparticles in Fe3O4/GO. In addition, the catalyst is used again for at least five times without a significant reduction in activity, while catalysts such as Pd/C and Pd/GO represent a significant reduction in active. Suzuki's reaction is one of the important reactions of carbon-carbon coupling. This reaction is widely used to produce complex organic molecules in many chemical and pharmaceutical applications. A suitable catalyst must have a high active level and be detachable. Nanotechnology provides a high active level for the catalyst. In addition, the active surface of nanocatalysts is much larger than conventional catalysts, the active surface of a nanocatalysts is always less homogeneous than a catalyst.
