Synthesis and characterization of NiFe2O‌4/GO nanocomposite as an adsorbent for removal of Zn(II) ion

چکیده مقاله:
In this research, a magnetic nanocomposite (NiFe2O4/graphene oxide) was fabricated by hydrothermal method, characterized and used as adsorbent to removal Zn2+ ions from aqueous solution. The adsorption process was focused on the evaluation of the effects of process variables like Zn2+ concentration, adsorbent dose and temperature on Zinc ions adsorption by response surface methodology (RSM) [1]. With the help of the ANOVA result, the regression analysis and variables optimization were estimated to forecast the significant variables in the experimental domain [2]. The desirability function was used to attain the optimum condition for maximum Zinc removal. However, the RSM is a conventional optimization approach used for many industrial applications, but very less employment has been reported in adsorption-based water treatment technology. Consequently, using this tool in large scale adsorption-based technology can be an advantageous one from time-saving and economical point of view. However, The results of the present work indicate that the treatment method evaluation as well as the modeling capability to be potentially significant.
