Synthesis and characterization of zeolit L and Zeolite L@CTAB and investigation of their application in drug delivery system

چکیده مقاله:
In recent years, substantial researches have been done in developing systems with porous materials like zeolites for drug delivery [1,2]. These materials have some significant properties such as stable structure of the porosities, their homogeneity, the high specific surface area, the minimum toxicity and the biocompatibility, which have made them superior to the other drug carriers[1,3]. In this study, Zeolite L was synthesized and then functionalized by CetylTrimethyl Ammonium Bromide (CTAB) to obtain the, Zeolite L @CTAB. The samples were characterized with several techniques such as FTIR, X-ray, BET and TGA. The synthesized nanoparticles were applied for loading of diclofenac drug. The efficiency drug loading was monitored by UV-vis spectrophotometry method. Comparison of drug loading onto zeolite L and Zeolite L @CTAB was also investigated under similar spectral conditions as well as same experimental circumstances. The factors such as pH and the adsorbent dose which potentially influenced on the efficiency of drug were also investigated. The optimum conditions were achieved by BOX-Behnken design. Result revealed that the loading efficiency is significantly (up to 70%) by using Zeolite L@CTAB
